Coastguard is the charity that rescues over 6,000 New Zealanders each year, and educates over 14,000 people annually about water safety.
Lions club of Remuera
Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From local projects with schools and kindergartens to far-reaching projects such as bringing sight to the world's blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community. The Remuera Lions club meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at St Marks Church Hall, 95 Remuera Road.
Rotary club of Newmarket
Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million people. Rotarians provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace in the world. The Rotary Club of Newmarket Inc is one of NZ's most active rotary clubs. Our club was first founded in 1945 with the first meeting being held at the cafe in the Auckland Domain. We distribute around $200,000 every year to community based charities.
Young New Zealand foundations
The Young New Zealanders Foundation (YNZF) was set up by New Zealand Police members in 1997 to fund the development of projects aimed at helping young New Zealanders make the most of their lives and help shape New Zealand to be a great country to live in.
Auckland rescue Helicopter
2020 is the Auckland Rescue Helicopter service's 50th year in operation. This is a milestone for the service, which started the world's first ever civilian surf rescue helicopter service back in late 1970. Since then, the service has been tasked to over 20,000 thousands missions and is internationally recognised for its pioneering work in saving lives
